Saving Mt Everest with Carlsberg - Day 5

Share
Day 5 of the saving Mt Everest with Carlsberg. Today, we're going back to Kathmandu, where we will spend the last of our days in Nepal.

So this is goodbye to the snow-capped mountains, to the thin air, to the breath-taking view. Mmm... Sigh.

Oh, look at this. Could you guess what is it? Yes, it's our airstrip, short, rocky and there's a cliff at the end of it. 0.0 *gulp*

And our plane has arrived!

And as you can see, we're all excited about going back to lower grounds. The plane had to shuttle back and forth thrice cause it carries only six person.

Oh look! The plane brought supplies! What essential good did they bring this time? Why it's beer! :D

Tornado punch!

Sigh. Aside from the altitude sickness, I'm gonna miss the mountains.

That tiny plane brought us back to Lukla. From there, we wait in a pink room for a bigger plane to bring us back to Kathmandu. It took awhile cause of the bad weather.

Look at this plane! It's currently being fixed. Wanna know what happened to it? A noob piloted it into the wall in front of it now. -_-''

Finally!! Back at Kathmandu and back at Dwarika's Hotel!

I <3 my room number. :)

Today we don't feel like doing anything. Nothing at all. Doo doo doo doo...

Seriously, three days of hiking took a lot from our body. A whole day's worth of sleep is what we need.

But first, more SUSHI!!!

And for dinner, we went to a fine dining restaurant which serves local cuisine. Looks pretty good from the outside actually.

Yay! Meat! I loved the food but phew, it's SPIICCYY!! I drank about 2 litres of water just to wash away the spiciness. Lol.

Team Carlsberg spent the rest of the night in fellowship, chatting and laughing our hearts out.

In the end, it's time to go back and have a good rest. Oh, if your city has problems with stray cats/dogs, well, be thankful. At least you don't have stray cows. Lol.

Finally, the Saving Mt Everest with Carlsberg series is coming to an end. Stay tuned for Day 6's post cause it will the most interesting post of all! On Day 6, we'll be taking a city tour around Kathmandu! And believe me, the sights and cultural experience is an experience one will never forget.
